I'm on a mission to bring all of Africa’s everyday businesses to the internet. At Hala, I'm privileged to lead a team that is passionate about this mission. I strongly believe that Africa’s economic potentials will only be unlocked when we can use technology to make commerce as accessible as WhatsApp. The business of the internet is ads so innovations have been largely focused on creators and not everyday businesses.If we democratise commerce by helping people connect directly to our businesses make it accessible to anyone in the continent, a new $50B economy will be created in Africa.We are working on a product for small businesses called ShopsApp that allows businesses sell and manage their business with their phones. Some features include: a custom link to showcase products and collect orders from customers on WhatsApp, social media or in person, in-app payments with instant confirmation and access to mini apps that provide services business owners need everyday.
