Led, designed and coded application components in an agile environment utilizing a test driven development approach. Provided programming estimates, identified potential problems and recommended alternative solutions. Collaborated with other members of the product development team. Coordinated configuration of back-end components in support of application development. Utilized extreme programming approach to ensure high quality coding.Key Accomplishments:- Led development efforts to convert the college’s current .NET applications from .NET 1.0 to .NET 2.0.- Assist the CTO/Associate CIO with application portfolio/lifecycle management and related solutions integration strategy (with focus on data integrity and integration across disparate systems enabling “single view” experience).- Developed multiple integrations to third party applications and services using web services, RESTful services, and custom integrations.- Assisted with the identification and implementation of emergent technologies at the college. - Developed applications in Java, C# and VB, for the colleges SharePoint 2010 and Liferay portals.

Served on a team that designed, developed, implemented, maintained, and supported multiple highly complex systems and related products in a college-standard environment. As a team member, I performed highly complex, extremely technical systems design and coding work, and managed E-Systems related projects. Key Accomplishments:- Designed, developed, and implemented enterprise applications based on identified customer requirements for web and mobile access. Developed applications to the JSR-168 portlet standard. - Researched, tested, and implemented multiple open-source applications in the College’s enterprise systems environment; including: Liferay enterprise portal and Central Authentication Service (CAS).- Mentored team members on Java application development, SOA, and JSR-168 portlet development. - Integrated College’s ERP (Orion) built on Software AG technologies, portal systems, and third-party applications (including Google Apps) using SOA technologies. - Participated in conversion efforts/application code modifications to migrate from Microsoft SQL Server 2000 to Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

Installed, maintained and made modifications to a web storefront product for multiple customers throughout the east coast. Key Accomplishments:- Responsible for installing and upgrading all web applications.- Made modifications to existing java, jsp, struts, as per the customer’s requirements.- Installed and setup Web Sphere application server, IBM HTTP server and Microsoft SQL server 2000 on multiple customer servers.

Effectively served as the main team member to know both Java and UniData, which is the primary programming language that most of our company’s distribution warehouse/ branch applications are developed in. Developed Servlets and JSP’s to help our headquarters’ departments do their jobs more effectively. Key Accomplishments:- Created Servlets to communicate between our legacy system, UniData, and applications that were developed in Java.- Designed and created a middleware application that retrieves and processes two files from a COBOL vendor and send the results to a UniData application.- Completed maintenance on multiple different Servlets and JSP’s.- Created a utility to check employee’s authorizations using JNDI and Active Directory.- Created a servlet that our human resource department uses to send out electronic cards for new hires.- Weekend on call support for hardware and software system upgrades.- Responsible for doing code reviews for Java and UniData programs.- Installed and setup Apache Tomcat as well as development environments for other developers.

Served on a team of four to support all system software and data issues that would arise daily. Created new processes to improve the Quick Response team’s efficiency by using new applications and techniques.
