Structural Engineering third-year student at Virginia Tech with a demonstrated passion for innovative design and analysis. As Design Lead for Virginia Tech's Steel Bridge Design Team, I drive collaborative efforts in structural optimization and competition strategy. Currently engaged in undergraduate research, where I develop comprehensive design examples for flexible, rigid, and semi-rigid diaphragms including stiffness analysis, wind load calculation per ASCE Code, and SAP 2000 analysis. My industry experience includes hands-on work with complex infrastructure projects, notably contributing to the rehabilitation of the Varina Enon Bridge footings through post-tensioned reinforced concrete encapsulation analysis using Larsa 4D and finite element modeling (LUSAS). During my internship, I took ownership of critical components for the Franconia-Springfield Bypass Railway Bridge, leading the shear and flexure design of the substructure elements from initial proposal through optimization. This experience strengthened my ability to deliver efficient structural solutions while managing substantial project responsibilities. Combining practical industry experience, structural design team leadership, and academic research, I aim to contribute to the advancement of structural engineering through innovative design approaches and technical expertise.
