I create award-winning podcasts for great brands. 30+ awards: Lovies Award, Red Dot Award, Webby Award, Dutch Creativity Awards, AMMA Awards and Dutch Podcast Awards. As the Creative Director of Airborne, I help clients create appealing and distinctive stories to get people to listen to brands. I am creatively responsible for podcast and audio concepts and their execution. I also advise brands and media companies on their audio strategy.From my love for storytelling, I have been a podcast fan for a long time. Happily, I was in a position to take my personal enthusiasm into my work. Now I work for various brands, like KLM, Albert Heijn, ANWB (Dutch Touring Club), and KPN.I have a strong belief that podcasts allow brands to be highly relevant with inspiring content, in a more intimate way than any other medium can do. This creates great and totally new opportunities to get in touch with audiences. With a strategic mindset, I love to develop audio formats that help brands to strengthen relationships with their audiences. The craft of storytelling has been my main focus throughout my career. I started writing scripts for primetime drama and comedy series. After that, I worked as a journalist for various magazines and newspapers, nationally and internationally.Since 2010 I have told stories on behalf of brands. I was part of the team that launched one of the world's first international iPad-magazines, commissioned by Volkswagen. In 2013 I joined the creative digital agency Born05. Together with a multidisciplinary team, I developed digital concepts, content strategies, and editorial content for A-brands like KPN, KLM, and ING. Since 2017 I have focused exclusively on audio. With Ace (thisisace.nl) I founded Airborne in 2018, where I now hold the position of Creative Director.In addition to my work, I am engaged in the further development of the national and international audio landscape through publications, talks, interviews, and participation in professional juries.
