About Marvin Millar, Mba

What we do can have lasting implications that may not be felt for years to come. I thrive in stressful situations making decisions that have strategic and long term implications.- I successfully managed four programs in the three major stages of the DOD Acquisition process with a total annual budget of over $1.5B.- My team and I transitioned a $5.0B program from Army to Department of Defense oversight while maintaining overall schedule. - I managed multiple organizations over an area the size of West Virginia to consolidate and destroy over 27 million tons of captured ammunition.- I helped manage the deployment and then the redeployment of over 15,000 Soldiers and 20,000 vehicles and pieces of equipment from Iraq and Kuwait. We live in a world of short timelines, how we prioritize and execute is critical to successfully meeting the objective we set. I do well in these pressure cookers. - I thrived in juggling three different multi-million dollar R & D projects in different S & T phases with a combined annual budget of $250M and relatively short inception to demonstration timelines. This included extending the range of currently fielded rockets and adding additional capability to existing missiles.- I've enjoyed the pressure of managing an annual R & D budget of over $100M to produce the first prototypes of the Army’s next generation Self-propelled Howitzer. Then planning and executing the first ever safe firing of the M109A7 prototype outside of the testing environment while they were still going through testing. - I helped lead the development team for a $10M Tactical Wheeled Vehicle Survivability demonstrator which included both local and distributed survivability concepts to provide a working prototype 18 months ahead of schedule. Specialties – Strategic Planning, Rapid Transition, R & D, Program Management, Production Planning, team building, expectation management, data analytics and intelligence derivation.

Listed skills include Military, Army, Dod, Program Management, and 45 others.
