I have a joint appointment with Political Science and African American Studies. I serve as Senior Faculty Fellow at the Residential College South, meaning I am responsible for activities and programs for this 400+ bed residence hall at the University of Mississippi. I am a commissioner on the Oxford Planning Commission, serve as Race Director for Run Oxford, and am Organizer for TEDxUniversityofMississippi. I am currently at work on Compete Running. When the right opportunities come along, I seek chances to make a meaningful difference in my community. This includes volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club, as well as at a prison in a neighboring county, or raising funds for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Previous service includes a 5-year term on the Oxford Parks Commission, which oversaw recreational sports and facilities in Oxford, MS. I founded and served as president for both Run Oxford, the Oxford Taste Society, and was the first president of my former HOA.
