I recruited and lead the GCC Project Development team. We originated, designed, and built solar thermal steam projects for enhanced oil production. My team secured the Miraah project, at the time the world's largest solar project, the Amal II next generation technology pilot, and the Mukhaizna project, which included development funding from Oman's sovereign wealth fund and an off-take agreement from Oxy Oman.I published two techno-economic papers on solar thermal steam during this time.

During these years, I gathered experience in the energy industry working in a variety of functional roles. In the US, first, with DC Energy, part of small, proprietary, energy trading firm that invests in financial electricity contracts. Next, as a summer intern with Ausra (later sold to AREVA) working on GCC Market Entry. In the UAE, with Crescent Petroleum the region’s oldest private upstream oil and gas company. I worked in both Finance and Project Development roles in the UAE and Iraq. Next, I assembled the founding team and seed funding to launch FuGu Energy, an energy efficiency company focused on the built environment. Completed over a dozen energy audits in the UAE and Qatar. Lastly, with GE, I completed the 2 year post-MBA commercial leadership program, including a rotation in NYC working with the Global Power M&A team.
