Mary Akehurst is a wife, mother, connector, recovery advocate, and friend to many. She and her husband have over 20 years in the addiction and recovery community. Her research began in 2001, after her then young uncle died due to his addiction. For 12 yrs she worked at an addiction center in Mpls, MN, on a quest to find hope for others, and allowing her heart to heal. Since 2015, the Akehursts live their life on mission with the gospel, as All Things to All Things to All, serving locally, nationally & Internationally.In 2022, the Akehursts were introduced to Nutrigenomics & the International activation company of LifeVantage. Mary was invited by the director of Lost Sheep Ministries International to document the experiences of people adding the flagship activator, Protandim NrF2 Synergizer, for 6 months to their routine. Health Counselor and Author of the Silent Take Over, Jacquelyn Sheppard, piloted the study. Not only did the Akehurst's watch lives change, they experienced health benefits. 2003-2004 - Help for the Helpers Coordinator, working with the Executive Director. This involved reaching up to 20 speakers and confirming their topics, securing their outlines and informing them of their schedule during the conference. It also included hands on details such as preparing binders for up to 300 attendees and coordinating facility and food details with the host church.2004 Development Associate, worked with the Executive Director, to continue the HFTH conference annually, and develop a volunteer program to support the new Healing House that was to come. Did some grant writing and support to an annual banquet in this season.2004-2010 Volunteer Coordinator & Event planning: Help for the Helper Conferences, Annual Spring and Fall Banquets, a Fall Motorcycle Ride for Recovery and a Spring Fashion Show. These years also included recruiting volunteers through churches and placing them in the Healing House or New Hope Center recovery programs to serve.2010 Intake Coordinator: Supporting the Healing House staff by doing the women and mothers with children intake. Reported to Healing House director.2012-2015 Partner Liaison, worked with the Executive Director. I would reach out to some donors or donor prospects and set meetings for the ED to visit with them, did occasional financial invitations to partners. I also reached out to community agencies to broaden & establish our network of partners. This position was work from home.

1995-1999: Supported a team of 12 salesmen & women with materials & samples of printed products for their appointments, took notes at weekly sales meetings, attended national greeting card trade shows representing the sheet fed printing company. Entered company in national competitions.1999-2000: Represented the sheet fed company to businesses needing printing. Focus was greeting cards and fine art clients.
