Having run the Washington Government Affairs office for SAP AG, and her many years working as a Vice President for the General Counsel of AT&T, Mary has a solid business background and an in-depth understanding of what it is that clients want and expect of a service provider.In addition to her impeccable reputation in the legal services industry, she is an entrepreneur having started different businesses and is also considered to be a well-respected leader in the technology field. She has an international reputation for excellence as is evidenced by the fact that she has authored two opinion editorial pieces on free trade including “Succeeding in the Global Economy” and “Success in the Global Economy: An Agenda for the Future”.Mary has worked diligently with U.S., Chinese and European officials on the issue of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). In 2005, in conjunction with the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and U.S. Chamber of Commerce, she organized the first global conference on RFID technology. For the 2nd half of 2010, Ms. Arnold worked with the GridWise Alliance providing the group’s CEO and Board with strategic counsel on the development of energy policy in the United States at both the State and Federal level, as well as assisted the Global Smart Grid Federation with outreach to key energy thought leaders and government officials around the world.

For the first half of 2010, Mary Arnold served as the interim CEO for the GridWise Alliance. The Alliance, founded in 2003, is an organization comprised of 137 members that represent a broad range of the energy supply chain from utilities to large tech companies to academia to venture capitalists to emerging tech companies. It is the leading collation advocating for the transformation of the electric grid.
