Led sales and marketing efforts for one of the most iconic consumer magazine brands - The National Enquirer. After just 8 months in this position I was promoted to Publisher of Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly as well. I am proactive in approaching marketers with business solutions that are smart and easy to implement and am often able to secure meetings with major client decision makers to close the sale. As an executive level sales and marketing leader I have worked across multiple platforms including digital media, traditional and event sponsorships.

Promoted after just over one year with the company to Associate Publisher in charge of national advertising sales and marketing. During my tenure, ad pages rose by 21% and OK! achieved the 4th largest ad page increase of 254 PIB measured magazines in 2009. What is especially noteworthy is all of this growth was achieved during one of the worst recessionary periods in the media marketplace. - especially in publishing which was particularly hard hit.

Recruited to grow market share from the entertainment and packaged goods categories for this leading entertainment/celebrity weekly magazine. By the end of my first year increased ad revenue by 12% in new business. Some of these advertisers included WEtv, Showtime, TLC, VH1, HBO, Bravo, USA Network and Oxygen. OK!'s advertising performance was amongst the strongest in the magazine industry in 2009 - arguably a remarkable achievement considering that the brand was just 4 years old in the U.S. and competing with People and US Weekly magazines.

Oversee all ad sales and marketing activities for award winning magazine targeting kids 6-14.

Maintained P&L responsibilities for the business side of award winning national consumer magazine targeting moms. Responsible for generating an increase of 70% in advertising revenue over 11 years to $34 million.

Transformed bi-weekly celebrity oriented magazine to monthly. Attracted numerous upscale advertisers in the beauty and fashion arenas as well as entertainment, technology and packaged goods.

Repositioned this award winning consumer magazine from a business to lifestyle magazine for professional women. Was promoted four times in six years from Account Manager to Publisher. Increased ad revenue by over 50%. Ad Week magazine voted Savvy onto it's annual "magazine hot list" while under my watch. Managed all sales and marketing functions and staff of 35 employees.

Originally hired as an advertising sales assistant, supporting two Account Managers. Within two years promoted to full-fledged sales job on the sales team of Omni magazine. Was given a "developmental" account list and turned it into running business. For example, secured a $150,000 buy from Pepsi who had never run in the magazine before. Brought in other CPG, travel and tech accounts.
