Started up, manage and operate the FVOP Michigan Regional Laboratory.

Consulting, through MBS, on EPA/MDEQ NPDES Permit-required Laboratory Testing Procedures (LTP/SOP), LTP Work Station Instructions, Method Update Rule, QC Programs, bench sheet updates, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) update, preparations for upcoming full lab renovation, test preparations for the upcoming anaerobic digester for hops solids processing, wet chemistry testing, giving education facility tours, etc. Project completed.

Managed a full-service environmental laboratory, using EPA methods for organic, inorganic and wet chemistry analyses on water and soil samples. Drinking water certified.

As a short-term project consultant, started up and used ChemGes Program, ver. 40, to update the extensive list of chemical product SDS's for compliance with GHS regulations and deadlines. Received and processed incoming SDS's from manufacturers. Assisted the EHS and Quality Director as necessary.

Facilitated manufacturers of water treatment, distribution, plumbing and residential water filtrationproducts, through various strict and complex international regulations, testing and certificationrequirements, in order to compete in both major and emerging global markets. Provided full customer service, collected all necessary data, completed applicable applications, and coordinated with local and international labs and certifying bodies, specifically the United Kingdom Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) and Australian WaterMark Certification Scheme (WMCS). Program designated team format discontinued.Founded in 1944, NSF International is an independent standards, testing, audit, certifications, education and risk management company. NSF's mission is to protect and improve global human health by improving the world's food, water, consumer products and environment. Manufacturers, regulators and consumers look to NSF to develop public health standards and certifications that will accomplish this mission. The NSF Passport Program facilitates manufacturers of water treatment systems and products to meet multiple strict and complex requirements, to compete in both major and emerging global markets, while working to establish and simplify international acceptance of water treatment standards, systems and usage.

Hired, trained and supervised all lab personnel, performed or arranged for all plant MDEQ NPDES permit-required lab analyses and field sampling events. Purchased all lab equipment and supplies. Wrote and updated all lab procedures. Wrote and updated all WWTP MIOSHA safety programs, purchased most of the WWTP safety equipment and safety trained all WWTP personnel. Advised and participated in annual WWTP budget preparations. Participated in EPA, MDEQ, MIOSHA and IPP inspections. Conducted public tours of the facility and participated in school and community public education opportunities. Prepared regular computer reports, letters, and history files. Participated on several City committees, such as Safety, Suggestion, Newsletter, and the Jackson Community Transformation Project. Served as the consulting chemist for the Jackson Fire Department. Member of Water Environment Federation and Michigan Water Environment Association since 1991. Received many awards and commendations. MDEQ Wastewater Operators D License since 1994. Position eliminated, along with thirteen others.

Performed all solvent and Soxlet extractions, and organic analyses on multiple gas chromatographs, on water and soil matrices, on EPA and RCRA SW846 methods. Alone, operated, serviced and maintained HP 5890A GC with PID and ELCD detectors in series, Varian 3700 GC with ELCD, Varian 3500 with ECD, Perkin Elmer Sigma 2000 GC with FID, and multiple Tekmar LCS-2 and ALD Sample Concentrators. Performed all GC quality assurance and quality control, and created all GC data reports. Purchased all organic and inorganic lab supplies, and trained lab technicians.

Solvent extractions, then Scan 3 Waters analyses (PCB's, pesticides and chloronated hydrocarbons) by GC and reporting.

Started with production line QA/QC tech., promoted to raw material inspections chemist, sampling and testing according to Campbell specifications. Created a partnership with Procurement Dept. to assure better quality of raw materials from suppliers. Inspected supplier facilities, controlled product retention testing program, supervised/trained lab technicians and was Chairperson of the Campbell’s Safety Committee. Project eliminated.
