 Managed team of three direct reports responsible for various projects across the entire BU portfolio.  Held Meal Combos Packaging category manager roleo Ensured consistency and quality of packaging for the Lunchables, P3, Oscar Mayer Natural plates and Claussen Pickles brands, across three KHC and two external production sites.o Inclusive of thermoformed rigid plastic, flexible film, paper, paperboard, corrugated, glass, metal packaging.o Established headcount required for all associated projects including NPD, supply continuity, cost savings, brand maintenance and quality improvements. o Provided direction for junior level developers regarding required testing, trial plan development, process steps, etc.  Led primary packaging scoping and development for Claussen Pickles NPD initiative, valued at $6,600,000 NSV. Developed secondary packaging to facilitate $5,400,000 capital investment of a new, combination production line to repatriate Lunchables variety pack and achieve projected $4,400,000 annual savings. Enabled three supply continuity initiatives, qualifying alternate supplier production locations and packaging materials under a concurrent, accelerated timeline of less than three months.

 Managed team of two direct reports and one contractor, overseeing the progress and providing technical guidance for their respective projects.  Coordinated and tracked year-to-date and future projected spend against department budget.  Managed department project tracker, communicating overall status, savings goal impacts and escalation needs cross-functionally.

 Supported $3,500,000 capital investment through creation and execution of qualification plan for newly installed production line, to facilitate repatriation of associated SKUs, achieving $13,000,000 annual cost savings. Led secondary packaging design optimization alongside $5,000,000 capital investment to achieve $2,000,000 annual savings in material reduction, palletization efficiencies and increased line throughput.  Executed adhesive supplier transition, successfully qualifying seven production sites, 49 lines and a range of material applications in six months resulting in $225,000 annual cost savings. Ongoing fiber tear standards and Quality checks implemented to ensure continued performance. Co-led Quality complaints tracking and reporting of all department projects launched within the year.

 Developed primary to tertiary packaging specifications for over 1,850 commercialized finished goods across the Ferrara seven Everyday brands and five seasonal categories, as well as the fourteen Private Label and Club brands.  Led design, testing and implementation of automated packaging, supporting over $5,000,000 in capital investments and $117,000 of material cost savings.  Successfully executed corrugated, paperboard and film packaging qualifications of awarded RFPs, by coordinating with multiple Ferrara suppliers and production facilities, to obtain a cost savings of $4,072,900.  Co-led pallet stackability analysis of 600 finished goods to achieve $2,000,000 of annual cost savings and increase warehousing and shipping efficiencies.  Identified and executed cost savings of $760,000 through optimization of existing packaging components.  Included as an inventor on a patent of a packaging component dispensing feature.  Coordinated with Perrigo Packaging Team to develop, qualify and implement vitamin gummy packaging specifications for Ferrara production.  Managed direct reports, overseeing the training, responsibilities and progress of a Packaging Engineer I and two Packaging team summer interns over the past two years.  Created trial protocol, summary report and specification template documentation, as well as packaging dieline storage and filing system.  Led packaging portion of brand restages and product launches for Trolli, Black Forest, TreeTop, Lemonhead and Sather’s.

 Consolidated and optimized packaging material inventories to increase consistency and achieve expected cost savings.  Created finished goods portfolio to be utilized within the Packaging and Purchasing departments as well as external brokers and suppliers.

 Qualified secondary packaging component replacement to achieve an annual cost savings of $58,000, materials reduction and improved sustainability.  Led emergency resin qualification through creation and execution of protocol, at factory level. Included performance and quality testing to validate package.  Identified alternative secondary packaging suppliers, costing and design solutions to accommodate production location change.  Developed secondary and tertiary packaging prototypes, incorporating product protection, consumer research, machine capabilities and optimized pallet patterns created with CAPE.  Collaborated with internal Nestlé departments including Quality, Purchasing, Product Development, Marketing, Sensory and Regulatory as well as external suppliers and co-packers.  Performed packaging specification creation and maintenance of packaging portfolio.
