Led design, testing and implementation of automated packaging, supporting over $5,000,000 in capital investments and $117,000 of material cost savings. Successfully executed corrugated, paperboard and film packaging qualifications of awarded RFPs, by coordinating with multiple Ferrara suppliers and production facilities, to obtain a cost savings of $4,072,900. Co-led pallet stackability analysis of 600 finished goods to achieve $2,000,000 of annual cost savings and increase warehousing and shipping efficiencies. Identified and executed cost savings of $760,000 through optimization of existing packaging components. Included as an inventor on a patent of a packaging component dispensing feature. Coordinated with Perrigo Packaging Team to develop, qualify and implement vitamin gummy packaging specifications for Ferrara production. Managed direct reports, overseeing the training, responsibilities and progress of a Packaging Engineer I and two Packaging team summer interns over the past two years. Created trial protocol, summary report and specification template documentation, as well as packaging dieline storage and filing system. Led packaging portion of brand restages and product launches for Trolli, Black Forest, TreeTop, Lemonhead and Sather’s.
