Responsible for the development of an accurate, efficient and effective credentialing process for the agency, including the development of effective communication processes with both payers and internal stakeholders in the contracting and revenue cycle management functions; the timely submission of accurate and complete credentialing applications to payers in accordance with payer requirements; and generation and maintenance of sensitive agency site and individual staff information used in the credentialing process.• In conjunction with Thresholds’ IT Department and Revenue Cycle Management, contributed to the development of a new provider site database to gather, store and maintain current, reliable information on 100 locations and 50 licensed staff.• Implemented a tool to track the credentialing status with each payer, as well as completion and submission of required credentialing documentation.

Responsible for development and oversight of agency reports and dashboards; collaborates with administrative departments and programs in designing, implementing and analyzing agency-wide and program/department-specific clinical and administrative reports; develops and submits documentation as part of the credentialing and contract negotiation processes with a variety of integrated/managed care entities; coordinates offsite records storage; collaborates with agency’s Privacy Officer on information privacy/HIPAA-related activities; conducted testing of the agency’s newest electronic health record system• Co-trained approximately 200 staff prior to latest EHR system go-live, along with providing help desk support post go-live• Collaborated in the development and submission of a grant proposal for agency participation in the Illinois Behavioral Health Integration Project (BHIP), a joint Service Administration of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (SAMHSA) / Health Resources Service Administration (HRSA) demonstration project promoting secure health information exchange among behavioral health and medical care providers to achieve better coordination of care.• Designed and implemented key program performance and all-agency indicator reports, including agency and program clinical quality measures, in collaboration with upper level management and program staff.• Redeveloped quarterly Utilization Review Report using Crystal Reports, enhancing the display of information and improving the overall efficiency in report creation; report is routinely reviewed by the agency’s Staff Executive Committee.• Coordinated and developed a well-received monthly management dashboard report for Thresholds’ Board of Directors, providing a “snapshot” of various agency quality, financial, development and human resources measures.

Provided oversight of all functions related to the agency’s quality compliance and improvement program; supervised 5 FTE staff; included provision of training on the agency’s electronic health record system.• Developed interactive monthly dashboard reports for 3 agency-wide quality measures, with positive feedback from agency program directors and executive staff.• Worked with the Director of Purchasing in selecting an offsite records storage company, facilitated the transfer of 500 boxes to the facility, and coordinated training of department representatives on the vendor’s online inventory management software.• Organized the agency’s Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit preparation efforts, including provision of onsite trainings, for approximately 100 members and staff agency-wide. • Standardized annual program and administrative department reporting process by developing formal report templates to use in submitting plans to the agency’s Executive Committee.

Provided oversight and supervision of all departmental functions; supervised 5 FTE staff; developed and maintained agency databases and reports containing service and program data. Achievements included: • Fostered the development of a strong customer service focus within the department, resulting in a major positive change in the department’s relationships with programs and administrative departments.• Coordinated program staff and psychiatrists’ training on the agency’s first electronic medical record system at 26 agency branches for 600 staff.• Facilitated development of various reporting tools on a shared agency-wide document library to track the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation.• Co-developed and conducted agency-wide management, staff and member awareness trainings on compliance with Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act.
