Planning and implementation of Fall and Spring all-day events for ~ 200 High-School students; showcasing UVA Engineering through lab tours, design challenges, and activities around Grounds.

Organize events to facilitate service within the Engineering School and the broader UVA community.

Organized and ran small events with the Engineering School, like making cards for nursing homes.Collaborated with The Virginia Discovery Museum to teach children about the earth and environment through interactive activities.

I assisted Henry Johnstone with research and data analysis for the IDEA project "Verification and Validation of District Energy/CHP/Microgrids" funded by a US Department of Energy grant. I analyzed energy performance on ~40 sites including universities, hospitals and more.Additionally, I supported the IDEA Carbon Count program which assesses carbon emissions reductions achieved by IDEA member systems in the aggregate.

Led the '22-'23 pledge class after being elected to the role of pledge class president (PCP). As PCP, I coordinated multiple service projects required for initiation, one to benefit each of the following communities: Charlottesville, the UVA Engineering School, and Trigon. The completion of these projects spanned over 2 semesters and often claimed large portions of our weekends, which bonded our pledge class and allowed us to create very meaningful end results. To benefit the Charlottesville area, our pledge class funded, designed, and built a custom “rabbit run”, per requested specifications from Hogs and Kisses, a Charlottesville animal refuge. For the E-School, we built benches (to replace old ones) around E-way and handed out candy and balloon animals to UVA students on Valentine's Day. Finally, for Trigon, we used our CAD and carpentry skills to fund, design, and build a multi-functional storage table for the Trigon Lawn room. All projects required extensive planning and formal review in order to be approved by the entire Trigon membership, followed by significant time to implement our plans.
