As a child life volunteer at the Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital during the summer of 2019, I was responsible for providing bedside patient care and companionship in the children's hospital atrium. During the summer of 2018, I served as a silver spoon and post-anesthesia care unit volunteer at the Medical University of South Carolina. My responsibility as a silver spoon was to help patients who required assistance with their meal. In addition to being a silver spoon volunteer, I also volunteered in the post-anesthesia care unit. In the post-anesthesia care unit, I helped nurses change beds, stocked supplies, escorted families around the unit, and discharged patients to their car.

Provided free medical care to multiple rural villages in Cambodia. During our stay, we shadowed physicians, pharmacists, and nurses while providing patient care. Taught healthy habits to local students and made structural improvements to the local orphanage.
