Highlights included partnering with Xerox’s inimitable marketing team to create its best-in-class corporate hospitality venue, collateral, and signage for the 2017 Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival and Gartner Symposium; winning two Gold Addy Awards and a Silver in 2017 for ForeScout Security, BSA Annual Report, and Nothing is Impossible – BSA, respectively; and producing cutting edge work for the area’s utility and technology companies.

This was a fantastic contractual opportunity in which I managed the marketing division of this four-person agency that specializes in the creation and execution of unique marketing campaigns for such tastemakers as the Teva Mountain Games, Vail Resorts, Vail Summer, and Thule Car Racks. Highlights included the rebranding of the 2005 Teva Mountain Games with full logo, collateral, signage, web, and radio/print campaign development; the delivery of a 20% bump in athlete and sponsor participation; and the coordination of all event materials, from competition bibs to medals for 28 sporting events and six ancillary events.

Similar to the above, I was thrilled to fall into this unique opportunity, working for a marketing communications firm specializing in high profile sports events, corporate sponsorship management, entertainment consulting, and athlete representation. From successfully negotiating two-year sponsorship contracts with Ford, Nike ACG, Giant Bicycles, Maxxis International and OLN to successfully managing the $1.5M Balance Bar Adventure Race Series, the nation’s largest off-the-road triathlon series, this was a great job – something I would recommend to every 20-something wanting to learn the ropes about event marketing at a very high level and where working long hours and consuming too much coffee never disappoints.
