As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a MSN from East Tennessee State University, I have been providing quality medical care to patients with chronic, life-limiting illnesses for over a year. Currently, I work as a Nurse Practitioner at Palliative Care Services in Chattanooga, TN, where I collaborate with my supervising physician and interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care in the home and hospital settings. In my role, I apply my communication, prevention, and clinical skills to assess, review medications, create appropriate care plans, and provide and evaluate care. I also assist with advanced directives and discuss goals of care, including the disease process, progression, and grief process with patients and caregivers. Previously, I gained valuable experience as an Admissions RN at Hospice of Chattanooga and a Clinical Staff Leader Resource at Erlanger Health System. I am passionate about improving the quality of life and comfort of my patients and their families, and I am always eager to learn and grow as a palliative care NP.
