As a professional nurse for 30 years, and an Advanced Practice Nurse for greater than 15 years, I have extensive experience, both clinically and management. Roles in the hospital setting included mentoring nursing and medical students, community education, ground and air patient transport, as well as nursing staff coordinator and scheduling coordinator. As a Doctorate in Nursing Practice ( DNP), I have worked Acute Care / Emergency Medicine and Obstetric/ Family Medicine. Focuses include, but are not limited to, assisting bariatric candidates with weight loss prior to surgery, care of the newborn throughout the aging process, Women's Health ( including prenatal care until delivery, and then immediate post partum care), adolescent psyche, and general Family Medical Care / chronic care management, and served as staff administrator in previous practice.Prior to, and since, graduate studies, I coordinated grant approval for a non for profit organization, as well as created and co created several organization committees , hospital and outpatient, and initiated proposals for organizational management that exist presently.I am currently recognized by the State of Illinois with Full Practice Authority.*BLS instructor, ANCC Board Certified, ACLS certified, NALS, and PALS certified*Member DPNAP*Member of Who's Who*Sigma Theta Tau member
