The draw to excel in leadership began within the banking industry where I developed a proficiency in relationship building. Starting with an entry-level position, I was able to advance to an SVP role that included strategic planning, change management, and cross-functional communication. Each position held included increased responsibility for attracting and developing effective team members.Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. As Executive Director of the Palm Beaches affiliate, my accountabilities included:• Overall needs assessment, restructuring of operations• Review of the Board and Board Member roles; assistance with attracting new directors• Development strategies, including fundraising events grant-writing, and donor stewardship• Focus on attraction, motivation, and retention of key employees and volunteers• Development and oversight of client-driven programs and servicesI am driven to meet the goals, objectives, and mission of an organization because of an innate ability to assess current strategies to offer solutions for improvement. Most importantly, I am able to engage employees and/or clients during projects, as involvement during any change process leads to greater adoption of new practices.
