I am passionate and dedicated to Recreation Therapy. Recently, I completed an internship at Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) Connections Halifax, which is a community resource focusing on Mental Health and Addictions. This internship was enjoyable, engaging and filled with multiple learning experiences, which helps me grow as a future Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). Currently, I am a Residential Counsellor at Metro Community Housing Association and this position is also increasing my growth and experience in Recreation Therapy. Building Management is another one of my passions. Within Residence Life, I’ve worked multiple student leader roles in different Dalhousie residences. I thrived at being able to increase quality of life in residences through leisure activities and community events. Currently, I am a Resident Manager with Killam Apartment REIT. I enjoy the different components of this role, especially connecting with tenants. One of my future goals is to combine my building management experience with Recreation Therapy and create a living environment were people feel safe and supported. Thanks!
