Assures that testing personnel maintain their competency to perform test procedures and report tests results promptly, accurately and proficiently.•Responsible for performing, recording and reviewing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually all quality control and equipment maintenance according to established laboratory policy and procedure.•Counseling, corrective action, performance appraisals, maintaining compliance to policies and protocol, delegation of shift assignments and scheduling, staff interrelationships, workload and staff productivity.•Assure resource utilization (supplies and equipment), supply order management, maintenance of new/current procedural and equipment protocol, new equipment evaluation/recommendations to laboratory management, quality control and proficiency testing protocol, preventative maintenance and corrective action protocol, new procedure/equipment in-service training.•Responsible for interdepartmental and clerical support activities, coordination and communications with laboratory management and continuing quality improvement activities, assisting operations manager with budget preparation, clerical and computer operations/protocol.•Coordinate the educational training, and developmental activities of new employee orientation, recommending educational and/or professional improvement activities for self and staff, participation in section meetings, and acquisition of new skills, technology, or knowledge applicable to the laboratory.

• Performs testing on a variety of biological specimens and/or environmental samples using manual or automated techniques• Perform daily operations of the genetics laboratory and instrumentation including but not limited to supply inventory, quality control, calibration and reagent preparation• Performs qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations using various analyzers and/or manual methods on specimen sources such as blood, urine, and other body fluids using established procedures• Accurately interprets data and results of highly clinical laboratory tests using established protocol, techniques and equipment manuals• Perform extractions for COVID-19 and RPP testing; completes UTI extractions/inoculations• Perform RT PCR for Covid-19 samples• Pharrmacogenomic (PGx) and Wound Panel testing.• Assesses accuracy and validity of obtained test results by applying knowledge of relevant scientific principles, recognizes changes that are critical to patient care, and identifies probable causes for irregular and atypical findings• Maintain records of test, examinations and final results for record functions and inquiries related to patient care• Communicate laboratory data and pertinent technical information to appropriate clients and individuals in a timely fashion• Participate in the development of protocols, lab manuals, lab CQI or other laboratory developmental activities• Monitors and evaluate quality control data reporting outliers to the supervisor and provide technical guidance and be a resource for new laboratory personnel• Train on and operate wide range of analyzers to perform complex lab testing: Quant Studio 12 Flex, Infinite Tecan F50, Integra ViaFlo96, Thermo King Fisher, Flex Purification System• Maintain lab equipment and perform quality control and quality assurance on instruments
