Like blockchain, Consensys operates as a decentralized organization. My role as an experience strategist, design thinker and leader of design sprints spanned across a few teams: Future of Work, Global Operations and DNA (Org Dev). As team lead, I initiated strategic design solutions for better employee experience in the areas of team governance, on-boarding, compensation, real-time feedback, internal communications, and Future of Work experiments.Some highlights:*Leveraged design thinking methodology to help teams improve self-governance and decision-making processes with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and transparency*Spearheaded the internal comms function with a focus on 3 interventions: 1) a monthly, company-wide meeting system, 2) a communications platform / dashboard, a repository for everything ConsenSys and 3) a bi-weekly news digest and calendar with all the latest, most critical company-wide news*Facilitated a diverse, representative team to design compensation and performance feedback systems that were aligned with self-organizing principles*Led a Self-Organization Masterclass project and was instrumental in the curriculum development for Self-Organization training

Extractable is a strategic consulting, design and data analytics agency focused on the future of financial services. As part of Extractable's leadership team, I ensured organizational effectiveness in the areas of operations, resources, HR, and recruitment. I led the evolution and maintenance of operational systems and supported the staff of project managers, UX/ UI designers, copywriters and developers on a weekly basis. With a real emphasis on strong organizational culture, I harvested a happy, healthy workplace.

In 2001, I started The Groop with Jose Caballer. Together, we ran a boutique digital design agency that allowed us to work with Al Gore, Jamie Oliver, Thomas Keller of The French Laundry, Alice Waters of Chez Panisse/The Edible School Yard Project, corporate clients such as Nike, Disney, News Corp’s Myspace and over 30 start-ups including Causecast, ThisNext and Savings.com. We grew from a small team to over 50 employees with over $6M in annual revenue. Over the years, I wore many hats including client account management, creative design direction, business and marketing strategy and, most importantly, human resources. We won many awards and were listed in Inc. magazine's top 5,000 U.S. companies.

Art Center College of Design has been at the forefront of art and design education for over 80 years. I taught Graphic Design for Interactive Experiences, an overview of the process of user-centered design and designing visual systems for the digital medium.

I led the UX team and collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams to provide the strategic digital solution for Honda Motorcycles. I directed the design team on the development of the media-rich visual interface that enhanced their business and brand objectives as well as mentored the art directors and designers on the engagement.

My career started at Razorfish: In NYC as Design Director, I led the design team on the Charles Schwab account and was part of some of the first UX work in the industry. In London, I worked closely with the senior management team to initiate a digital brand management practice. On the creative team, I assisted with business development and led the design direction for accounts such as the Financial Times and NatWest. In Los Angeles, I directed and managed a 15+ person design and UX team on client projects including the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, LADWP.
