My interest in customer service started at age 17, working the cash register at a fast food restaurant. I found that I had a knack for dealing with all kinds of customers, and loved knowing that my positive attitude could provide the buyer with a good experience.In college, I received a merchandising degree, which lead me to a job in a big-name department store. I loved working with customers one-on-one. Later, I made my first big career change and took a job at DuPont’s Glasgow Site. There, I worked in the shipping and receiving department, which gave me many of the skills to work with vendors and shipping companies and experience that I would need to do well at my current position at Intech Services.A few years after, I started working at DuPont, I got married, and became a stay at home mother to my three wonderful children, another job that provided me with happiness and confidence.My transition back into the work force was in retail at the Gap. I returned to my customer service roots, and was given sales training and lots of on-the-job experience. This job helped me to get back into the sales routine, and I was soon ready to further my career at another new position.I started at Intech Services in 1993, answering phones, entering orders, and invoicing. As the industry became more digital, I helped Intech Services evolve by facilitating a website launch and developing CoaterONE, a coating one-stop-shop. I have become well versed in the coating industry and the products that coaters use. In my customer service role, I have worked hard to develop good relationships with our customers and vendors, and am currently focused on the growth of our TCI TruPak powder program.If you’re a pro or a newbie to the coating industry, I would be happy to help you with your coating needs or questions.
