I come at the immigration field from three angles: 1. Legally representing hundreds of clients before USCIS in successful applications, and screening or supporting others for the immigration court process gave me 4+ years of broad legal knowledge and hands-on experience applying precise analysis.2. Graduate-level study and direct experience working with asylum seekers, survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence, and UACs has given me a foundation in human services for diverse individuals with histories of trauma.3. A drive for effective innovation and advocacy that respects the dignity of underserved groups leads me to “zoom out” to big-picture questions. I recently completed studies and an internship in social work administration, and am conducting qualitative research related to asylum seekers.
