I expanded upon responsibilities from my previous store by working at the Pro desk as a cashier on an as-needed basis. I learned how to process returns, to process transactions with contractors over the phone, and to process paperwork for pick-up orders and deliveries; I trained new associates on front end; I exercise flexibility and switch between garden registers, pro registers, and front exit registers as needed

Processed transactions and assisted DIY customers and contractors in the garden center Responsibilities included: continually refresh knowledge of the changing types and distribution of dozens of plant species in the center; maintain cleanliness according to store and OSHA standards; keep an accurate count of bulk mulch and other goods on carts; spot forklifts in accordance with safety standards; assist garden associates, managers, and customers in other capacities as needed

As an associate, I adapted quickly to a workplace environment to process transactions and give the best customer experience I could. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to: processing transactions in the major areas of the store; maintaining the cleanliness of the front end, cleaning the bathroom and the break room after close; restocking batteries, drinks, and snacks; assisting customers in finding the right department and locations; knowledge and use of the internal phone system and computer systems to assist customers and/or refer them to an associate who can; assisting other departments as needed; and any other tasks needed for customers or requested of me by management
