Mary Lee Call Email and Phone Number

Dr. Mary Lee Call received a PhD in Applied Linguistics from UCLA, focusing on second language learning, teaching, and assessment. She worked as a language teaching consultant for the Peace Corps in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon, and for the U.S. Information Agency in Hungary, Russia, and Ukraine. In addition, she supervised language test development projects for the Center for Applied Linguistics, Brigham Young University, and a private English school in Brazil. Following an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language, she taught ESL for many years at the university level. Dr. Call is fluent in Spanish, having lived in Argentina as a youth and serving an LDS mission to Spain. After teaching in the Linguistics Department at Brigham Young University for six years, Dr. Call resigned to marry and become an instant mother to four children. Since that time she has served in volunteer leadership positions, primarily with girls and women, and as a family history consultant. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Feed the World (www.feedtheworld.org).
