CurrentAs an English Department Supervisor at North Hunterdon High School, I was responsible for the following;• Directly responsible for managing 20 English teachers and one ESP;• Responsible for 45 observations per year along with a detailed report and analysis of each observation;• Met with and mentors student teachers and new/evolving teachers;• Coordinated AHSA process and EPP documents;• Presided at district wide articulation meetings, PD days, interdepartmental meetings, and monthly department meetings;• Attended Chair Department Meetings;• Collaborated with supervisor at Voorhees High School to oversee process of quarterly assessments, shared curricula, achievement of mutual district goals;• Collected, monitored, and created reports for monthly lesson plans, teacher attendance, attendance errors, and contact reports;• Monitored implementation of new Common Core Content standards;• Organized and orchestrated Language Arts Olympiad;• Assembled with and workshopoed graduation speakers;• Created schedules and room assignments for English teachers;• Generated ideas for improving HSPA & SAT scores, and supplies teachers with support in terms of materials and suggestions for improved instruction;• Coordinated spring break charity drives;• Attended professional development seminars to stay abreast of the newest best practices for English instruction;• Proofread North’s newspaper, Paw Prints;• In 2011 the number of students scoring in the Advanced Proficient range on the HSPA went from 39% to 48% and in 2013 the number of students scoring in the Advanced Proficient range on the HSPA increased from 48% to 54%;
