There is nothing more fulfilling that helping students experience an aha moment in mathematics. I've always loved math, and sharing the beauty and fun and fascination of it with students is exciting. I plan to continue to create and share mathematics in a way that makes it come alive to students so they can see that math is all around them. For the past 7 years I've worked with students who struggle as well as students who excel in mathematics. For most of those who struggle, it's not due to lack of ability or intelligence; they simply weren't engaged or motivated. I want to be part of a team that develops and employs an engaging and rigorous curriculum that is accessible to all students. Earning my master's degree in curriculum and instruction inspired me to find a place where I can collaborate with others toward that goal.
