We have several years’ experience across a wide range of sectors including Finance, Utilities and Public Sector. We are highly experienced I.T. Consultants with at least 17 years’ experience working in the profession. This expertise has been gained in large project environments, where the rigorous application of formal analysis and design methodologies has been applied.

I worked within the Group Technology & Change Team (GTC) to deliver solutions for Strategy, Architecture, Infrastructure, Procurement, Life & Pensions as well as Asset Management. My role involved working across all the above areas to understand the systems and system processes used as well as assess some of the challenges presented since the merger with Scottish Life. I assisted with impact analysis to assess system/process changes required and gathered user requirements. Worked across teams to monitor progress of the changes and document any issues arising.

I worked on several different projects during my time at SWIP described below. All involved working across multiple teams, some employing Agile methodologies. AAM Integration:Assisted with requirements analysis for integration with Aberdeen Asset Management. Wrote up system specifications for incorporation of new data feeds.AIFMD Project :Worked on regulatory project to analyse new Risk and Liquidity Risk Management requirements arising out of the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive. My task was to review SWIP's current risk management policies/processes & identify any new requirements that must be satisfied in order to be compliant with the directive.Volker Project: Helped to identify and write up business requirements arising out of the Volcker Rule section of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.IT Small Change Team: Worked in this team for a year analysing requirements for small system enhancements from all business areas. Worked with appropriate development teams to deliver solutions compliant with Group Strategy and Change Control.CRM Feasibility Study: Project to assess the feasibility of replacing the current CRM system with Salesforce.com. Analysed how business used current system and where it was failing to meet their needs. Compared and assessed functionality of current vs new system and helped to write up a formal business case outlining pros & cons of both options together with costs.

Worked in the Distribution & Client Services (D&CS) Change team - a centralised, strategic change team delivering integrated solutions for business requirements. I delivered the following:Creation of new US Legal Entity: Investigated options available for setting up new LE for trading securities in the U.S. Identified the optimum legal structure together with impact on staff/systems/processes. Created the business case and produced implementation plan.Risk & Compliance Exercise: Worked with head of Risk & Compliance to monitor progress of recommended actions arising from a Group Audit exercise.Decommissioning of Irish Client Services Function: Managed the decommissioning of the Dublin Client Servicing Centre & transfer of its processes to Edinburgh office. This involved a business/system gap analysis between the two offices and identifying new requirements such as Euro money processing, new banking interfaces, regional differences to client servicing. Worked with HR to arrange transfers/redundancies. Created and implemented a transfer & decommissioning plan.

I worked within two different teams during this assignment:Reference Data Team: This team managed the centralisation / maintenance/ distribution of market and reference data. I liaised with different business areas to understand new data requirements and their source/target systems. This involved identifying system, application and process changes to required access and use the new data correctly.Client Valuations Team: Responsible for analysing new user requirements for the Valuations System and finding solutions. This involved liaising with global stakeholders (New York, London, Mumbai, Tokyo); conducting feasibility studies & impact analysis; writing functional specifications for development teams. Also assisted with the design of a new data model.

Worked within the Business Integration area which was the central point for managing all I.T. initiatives. I worked on the following:eCRM: Carried out Feasibility Study to determine whether Contact Centre services could be transferred to the Sky website and television self-servicing systems. Liaised with Contact Centre to understand existing systems/processes and developers to asses data/functionality. Ceated use cases to illustrate proposed self-servicing functions, produced detailed requirements document, translated these to technical specifications.Installation Partner Integration: Assisted with a BPR exercise to improve the installation processes between BskyB and its 3rd party installation partners throughout the UK. Visited each installation partner to understand their process and log existing problems. Created process maps from my findings and drew up a series of recommendations for improvements to the current systems and processes.Commercial Operations Analysis: Undertook a business process analysis study of the Commercial Operations area in order to assess how well they were aligned with overall business strategy. Produced a detailed business process document containing processes, interfaces and technical inventory of systems and data.Decommissioning of legacy reporting system: Project Managed the decommissioning of an out of date management reporting system. Had to co-ordinate the efforts of business, 3rd party developers, infrastructure & operations and environment & testing.

Responsible for producing a Data Management Strategy for SE’s new CRM system. This involved: - reviewing legacy systems, their data architecture, usage & processes; - identifying shortcomings in data & processes that compromised the quality of key SE data assets- drafting new rules & processes to ensure data quality, portability and security - defining data management principals as well as key roles and responsibilities. - addressed considerations for systems integration to allow a 360 degree customer viewProduced a Data Management Strategy paper which was presented to Scottish Enterprise’s Executive Board who approved its findings and agreed the implementation of my recommendations.

Assisted in the analysis & design for a new Customer Service application holding customer/policy information. Defined generic XML schemas to create customer specific queries that were passed down to the mainframe. Analysed new business requirements, determined their feasibility and created business designs. This involved analysis of XML data structures to determine if new ones were required. I monitored the development of changes and demonstrated to end users

Involved in following areas:1) Launch of new VisitScotland.com website: Created project plan for migrating legacy data from local Area Tourist Boards to a new central database. Also responsible for the analysis, design and development of 5 International Gateway sites. 2) CRM Strategy - Assisted with feasibility study to implement a CRM system. Organised workshops with Gartner and two public sector organisations in order to access expertise in this area. Worked with business to produce detailed statement of requirements and gave benefits presentation to senior management. Researched CRM vendors and produced high level CRM Strategy document

I worked on the following:NatWest Migration: Analysed output from telephony systems being decommissioned to establish their criticality and whether their was an equivalent RBS system/output. Produced Gap Analysis.Single Customer View: Project to display all partner products in one combined view. Large scale project consisting of: - CRM System Tender. Helped collate details and produce Invitation to Tender - Customer Product Maintenance. Designed and developed system to process loans. Conducted user training workshops. - Data Migration.
