Latitude 39 is a restaurant located in Ohio University's student center. By working here I have gained time management skills by being a full time student and part time employee. This job has taught me how to keep up with a fast paced working environment and making sure I am doing my best to give the best service to every customer. The restaurant can get very busy and I have to opportunity to speak with other students, faculty and staff, and parents who come before sporting events. This position benefits me financially and allows me to engage with people of various backgrounds.

During my time as a lifeguard I believe I gained a lot of leadership skills. I had to keep the patrons safe and enforce pool rules. My co-workers all worked well together because each of us knew how important our job was. Parents relied on us to make sure their children were in a safe, friendly pool environment. I also helped my managers with in services for all of the guards where we would go over each save and extra pointers to make sure everyone was up to standards.
