In the summer of 2018 I retired from public health. Since then I have completed some literature searches, written reports, updated websites and provided recommendations for Health Nexus and the Waterloo Region FASD Action Group. I worked in public health for 30 + years and I have loved every minute of it. I currently work on the Youth Health Team of the Healthy Living Division with a focus on prevention of substance use and road safety. I worked on the Reproductive Health Team for 20 years and focussed on substance use in pregnancy, FASD and meeting the needs of immigrants and refugees in our community. I enjoy bigger systems thinking grounded in direct experience with the public.
