I hold a BSc. Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and an MSc Biochemistry from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT). Currently pursuing a PhD in Biochemistry at the same institution. I am a professional academic with a passion for educating, research and entrepreneurship. My dream is to help improve the perception of breast cancer in Africa and explore probable solutions through developing biomarkers that can be applied in; prevention, early diagnosis and personalized treatment of the disease. I also participate in creating awareness on issues regarding cancer to the community. My aim is to apply my skills and competencies to offer solutions to challenges resulting from breast cancer. My dream is to live in a "breast cancer free world". I am passionate about mentoring girls and motivating them to pursue STEM courses. I am self-reliant and independent, resilient, persistent, assertive, goal-oriented, a critical thinker and a problem solver. In addition I have excellent interpersonal skills and a team player. I am easily adaptable.
