Participated in field monitoring visits which ensured high quality data was collected through doing spot checks and randomly calling respondents, liaising with the data manager and ensuring GPS location for every interview conducted was on and accurate. Coordinated with the community leaders in identifying eligible respondents for specific activities. Administered tools for the Uplift the Girl Child Project in Homabay County in 2016. Co-led and guided a research team for the Adolescent Girls Initiative Kenya (AGI-K) Project which was rolled out in 2017-2019 in Nairobi county. Kibera area was the treatment group while Mathare area was the control group in the study. Tested and counselled adolescent girls on HIV and collected samples for HSV-2 virus testing, a biomarker component in the study. Successfully recruited and trained out of school adolescents on the use of tablets for tool self-administration for the Bridging the Gaps Initiative whose main focus was on mental health support for out of school adolescent boys and girls in Urban slums in Nakuru and Nairobi counties. The goal of the program, in partnership with REPACTED in Nakuru and IECE, was to evaluate the feasibility of integrating a mental health component into an evidence-based social, health and economic asset building program. The study explored the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and identified ways of mitigating challenges of implementing such a study during the pandemic. Successfully virtually interviewed over 250 respondents in the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices towards COVID-19 in 2020. -

Provided leadership for the Project on Challenges faced by women on cross border trade in the Uganda-Busia Border, in partnership with Sauti Africa. Supervised a team of 11 field officers and ensured the right participants were recruited by performing quality checks. Trained over 100 Busia-Uganda cross border traders on the use, accessibility and benefits of the Sauti-Africa platform where they would access information on cross border trading toll-free, using a USSD code with the main aim of reporting corruption cases through the platform. Implemented the project on gender biases at work in 2019 and conducted In-depth interviews with employed participants to get more insight on gender biases at work place. Administered Key Informant Interviews to participants for the Myriad Connect Project. Analyzed Qualitative data using data stripping on Excel sheet. Supervised 10 field officers ensuring validity and reliability in the data collected. Collected data on uptake of contraceptives among adolescent girls in Homabay, Kisumu and Migori Counties using the observation method where I contributed to the design of the mystery shopping protocol and instructions which was later followed up by semi-structured interviews to the pharmacists/attendants. -
