As a property sales manager turned mathematician, I excel at collaborating with colleagues and thrive on tackling challenging problems in diverse environments. Contributing to professional development projects, designing new mathematical content for learners, and researching small-group mathematical modeling competencies has enhanced my analytical thinking, communication, and learning skills. These experiences have enabled me to engage creatively with diverse learners and contribute meaningfully to the field of mathematical modeling competencies. Additionally, I have leveraged my skills to give back to my community by negotiating the contract for the Graduate Employee Organization and volunteering on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committees.Graduate school has given me the chance to develop passions for rock climbing and dancing. I love spending time with friends - hiking, playing games, or simply conversing over a coffee. I am grateful to my siblings and friends for always being just a phone call away. These relationships and experiences have brought such joy to my life and I'm excited to see what is next for me!

Interpreted quantitative data from protocol scores to inform analysis of teacher practices during modeling.Participated in creating 14 innovative and engaging lessons for three types of mathematical modeling routines for learners in grades K-2. Generated representations of mathematical possibilities in a modeling routine through visual representations, symbols, number sentences, grouping structures, diagrams, etc. Assisted with developing two scoring rubrics for primary teachers to formatively assess small groups of learners engaged in modeling routines. Incorporated teacher feedback to modify routines and inform future development. -
