Perryhill Nurseries was, and still is a Plantsman's nursery. It was unique in the 1970's in selling such a vast range of plants to the public; trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, ferns, bulbs, top and soft fruit, hedging and roses (old shrub roses and modern varieties, climbers and ramblers). The company was one of the earliest Commercial Landscaping companies in the UK. Projects included office block surrounds, motorway embankments, care home and school grounds, the NEC etc. My role as supervisor on projects with an emphasis on planting included organising plant delivery to site, setting out plants on site (often in the 1000's), organising personel on site and dealing with site agents.
