At both colleges I show students how to incorporate research into essays, without losing their voice or their aim in the process.-- The fall semester consists of five lectures a day three days a week for more than 100 students. At SUNY Brockport, I taught news writing to advanced journalism students. With an online publication, students experienced the day-to-day work of reporting, interviewing, pitching stories and incorporating complex information into compelling content.

I wrote and edited stories for a local magazine focused on Rochester. I helped develop POST in 2012 to document the new economy emerging in the wake of Rochester's manufacturing heyday. The bi-monthly magazine highlighted local research, institutions in Rochester and the locals forging their own businesses doing what they love. My job included writing investigative stories and profiles, reporting on local research, in addition to hiring reporters and editing their work.

--I wrote half a dozen online and print stories a week as a full-time reporter at the RBJ, an award winning weekly business newspaper.--In 2006, I was awarded the Bronze Award for Best Scoop by the Alliance of Area Business Publications for a series of articles I wrote exposing the massive write downs at a local venture fund that included Monroe County taxpayer dollars.--I covered a long list of beats including technology, new construction, downtown development, architecture, engineering, the environment, security, retail, marketing, media, transportation and distribution.

For an onsite consultancy of 15 international project managers, I supervised and edited the multi-language translation of books, websites, financial reports, television commercials, press releases and other projects for international companies such as L’Oréal, Vivendi Universal, Société Cartier, Deloitte & Touche.--I produced original English content for European websites, commercials and print advertisements.--Daily, I worked with clients, managed translators and edited their work.

--I reported on trends in the luxury goods industries, including cosmetics, men’s apparel and women’s accessories for International Beauty Report, Daily News Record and Women’s Wear Daily.--I covered fashion shows, trade shows, grand openings and other events to interview retailers and European designers.
