In the Residential Drainage department working with hydrology and hydraulics performing the following tasks:Drainage design focus:-Delineate watershed areas-Design open channels, culverts, and other hydraulic systems using flow master, HLW, HY8, StormCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D. -Compute Q values utilizing the Rational Method and Sacramento method. -Perform Riprap & scour calcs, street and sump capacities, Weighted C coefficients calcs, Catch Basin/Scupper sizing, and many other calculations. -Analyze high and low points and cut and fill slopes in order to predict storm water run off conditions. -Create pipe networks in order to display hydraulic designs. -Utilize HECRAS in order to locate water surface elevations. -Delineate existing and post 100 year flood plains. -Prepare drainage documents such as Final drainage reports and preliminary jurisdictional determination documents.Water and sewer design focus:-water and sewer design for private developments -Basis of Design Reports -WaterCAD-Sewer loading -water and sewer modelingRoadway Design Focus:-Utilize corridor surfaces, feature lines, and other CAD tools to grade and design roadways per jurisdictions standards and specs -intersection design -Basin and swale grading -retaining wall design-Pad grading -Daylighting -Channel Grading
