As a Senator, I have produced policies and bills over a range of areas, including female entrepreneurship, childcare, ageism, Russian adoptions, carers, the needs of older people and suicide.Most recently I acted as rapporteur for the the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation's ‘Report on Key Issues for female entrepreneurs in Ireland and for their participation in the tech sector.’ The report responds to the increasing recognition that has been given in recent years to the potential benefits of specific measures and initiatives aimed at encouraging women to become entrepreneurs.
