My research in the Kelleher laboratory focused on analysis of the role of microRNAs in progenitor cells of the developing central nervous system.
In the Shen laboratory, my research utilized mouse genetics to dissect presenilin function in the mammalian brain, both during development and aging. I identified essential developmental roles for presenilins in neuronal migration, in radial glia and Cajal-Retzius neurons, and in meningeal proliferation. In the adult brain, loss of presenilins causes slow.
