Deliver strategic direction to a team of six researchers from three universities in the investigation of analytical methods such as neutron activation analysis (NAA), ICP-MS and XRF for the rare earth element (REE) extraction processes. Establish tailored analytical methods for individual REE separation processes. Key Contributions: Led a team of 6 researchers from Polytechnique Montréal, Université Laval, and McGill in the investigation of analytical methods for the rare earth element (REE) extraction processes Analyzed vendor proposals for cost, design specification and product quality for lab equipment purchases (>30,000$) Analyzed data for the optimization of catalyst performance for clients including Total and Nova Chemicals Developed and implemented an online system for placing new analysis orders to improve customer interaction Optimized experiment conditions by performing NAA on REE separation process extractions.

I oversee research pertinent to industrial application development, including tailoring NAA for the detection of earth elements (REE), and conducting irradiation procedures and analysis on mineral samples for every rare earth separation process. Here, I draft quarterly reports and presentations for industrial partners in addition to acquiring and analyzing data for process optimization of REE extraction processes/catalyst performance.Key Achievements: Collaborated Niobec (industrial partner) to Develop new generation of processes to produce REE in Canada  Awarded best student presentation at International k0 Users’ Workshop through the establishment of a comprehensive and effective analysis procedure for REE separation processes  Generated 80% new customer leads through optimization and improvement of the NAA method Successfully drove a 75% decrease in analysis time for REE industrial application resulting in a paper published in Talanta

 Leveraged the opportunity to turn theory and methodology into practical application in the performance of kinetic modeling of CO2 adsorption in fluidized bed with MATLAB.

At this laboratory, I significantly contributed to the study process and residue map behavior. I performed chemical engineering research, data analysis, reporting, and general laboratory support and investigation. Key Achievements: Discovered new entrainers for azeotropic mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate. Developed and implemented new set up for online batch sampling of azeotropic mixtures, resulting in laboratory operation streamlining and increased operational efficiency.
