A 30-year automotive industry executive with technical, operations and business experience at Ford Motor Company, Collins & Aikman and Johnson Controls. I serve on the Board of Directors of Brunswick Corporation, a leading global marine products and services company; Group 1 Automotive Inc., a premier international collection of automotive retailers, (chair Governance and Corporate Responsibility Committee); Micron Technology, a world leader in innovative memory systems and solutions (Chair Governance and Sustainability Committee) and; Solid Power, a leading developer of solid system electrolytes for automotive applications. I served on the Argonne National Laboratory Board of Governors, as a Trustee at Lawrence Technological University, and on the board of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My personal passion is animal welfare and advocacy, serving as the board chair for The Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit. We care for over 2500 animals each year, providing them a safe temporary haven until their new forever home is found. We save 100% of all adoptable animals -- no matter how long it takes to find their new homes. I am leading the fundraising to finish the MaryAnn Wright Animal Adoption and Education Center in Dearborn, Michigan.In 2015, I was recognized with the Manufacturing Institute's Science Technology Engineering in Practice "STEP Ahead" award. I have been also been awarded the "Distinguished Service" Citation by the Automotive Hall of Fame; Automotive News "Leading 100 Women" in 2005/2010/2015,; "Electrifying 100", The Wall Street Journal "50 Women to Watch" and; the Milwaukee Biz Journal "Women of Influence".
