You know that as Baby Boomers we helped to change the world’s view on important issues of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond. As Boomers, Marsha and I knew that we were going to continue to make an impact in our world for many more years and felt that we were not alone in that feeling. So, we did our research, interviewed a lot of people locally and across the country, and received a resounding positive response that Boomers everywhere felt the same. Our publication is dedicated to the 78 million Baby Boomers in the United States who have shared experiences, who have desire to continue to make a difference, who want to continue their quest for life-long learning, who want to remember “the good old days” and most importantly come together in a community of people like themselves. The Baby Boomer News is “for Boomers – by Boomers" with writers and experts who will provide insight that will help us with practical issues ranging from taking care of our health and finances, dealing with aging parents and partners, and ways that we can help to make the world a better place for our children, grandchildren and future generations. Our hope is that The Baby Boomer News will also make our readers laugh out loud, want to explore new places and investigate new careers for the 2nd act of their lives, all while enjoying light-hearted looks at Boomers then and now. Through our editorial content, online venue, educational events and sponsorships, we will provide a platform for the formation of a “community” within the baby boomer population and will encourage interaction among its members.
