These 364 chapters throughout the US and its territories are responsible for the opening of new businesses, the growth of existing businesses and the creation of jobs.In Arizona there are three chapters of SCORE -- Northern Arizona SCORE, Southern Arizona SCORE and Greater Phoenix SCORE. As President of State of Arizona SCORE, I am responsible for all three of the chapters and all business done by SCORE in the State of Arizona.Appointed by National SCORE, I have a state staff for marketing, legislative, programming, finance, development and ambassadorship. We will be running state-wide and regional programs this year and will be responsible for the funding for the state.

Since we are instituting all new programs, including a new certification program in 2010, we are excited and working hard at structuring the year to come and planning our almost 300 events. Greater Phoenix SCORE is the largest supporter of small business in the state, does free counseling and provides services to help businesses start, existing businesses grow and create new jobs. Our partnership with the educational system within the state allows us to help prepare and provide a workforce more capable of dealing with the needs of the employer. We also support all of the other non-profit organizations in the state with our partnering and the sharing of our program income with them. As the umbrella organization for small business and enrrepreneurship, we work hard at being supportive of everyone's efforts on behalf of the economy. -

Our projects included award-winning (MAME Awards) developments of tract housing as well as individual high end homes that we built in the Beveryly Hills and Brentwood areas of Los Angeles. I have spent most of my adult life in the building industry. Residential construction is my specialty but I am specifically a production specialist and my background has been in running major planned unit developments and even an 8,000 acre city. I consult on retail development but do not construct it. Marketing and sales are also part of my expertise and my resume shows the years of bottom line responsibility for taking raw land to the final analysis of finished product and sales. Along with this work has come the owning of my own interior design firm and my own consulting firm. In the current time frame, all of this work is under the Gustare Ltd. umbrella.
