Departmental Academic AdvisorUic College Of Liberal Arts And Sciences Sep 2017 - Aug 2019Chicago, IllinoisI transitioned to working as a departmental advisor for students majoring in Criminology, Law, and Justice, Anthropology, English, and/or Gender and Women Studies. At this time I worked with over 900 students to understand their degree requirements, explore career development opportunities, meet academic standards and institutional policies, and ultimately complete their degrees. During my time as a departmental advisor, I was also able to serve as a co-advisor to the Student Advisory Board, an undergraduate student group giving advice to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. I was twice recognized by the Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice for my service to their students and department.
