Most sessions include group discussion, live and video demonstrations, practical application exercises and feedback of MI practice. The goal is to leave participants with specific MI tools to inspire them in their work.Title: A Taste of Motivational InterviewingDuration: 1-2 hours and can be modified/combined to meet the needs of the group.Description: This session introduces the 3 basic styles of communication and their application. Taught in a learn-see-do format with plenty of discussion, the participant will leave this class with a strong understanding of the basics of helping conversations.Title: Overview of Motivational Interviewing (MI) Concepts Duration: 3-4 hours.Description: This session introduces the major concepts of MI to the new learner and is a great “refresher” for those already familiar with MI. Taught with examples of real-life applications, participants leave this class inspired to bring the Spirit of MI into their work.Continuing Education: 3 CEs through AZ Psychological Association available.Title: Fundamentals of Motivational Interviewing (MI)Duration: 2-day (8 hours each) trainingContinuing Education: 10 CEs through AZ Psychological Association available.Title: Using MI for Rapid Engagement and Brief Interventions Duration: 4 hoursDescription: This class is for the helping professional who wants to apply specific MI processes and strategies for brief encounters. You will leave this course with the knowledge that you CAN make a difference in a short amount of time.Title: Motivational Interviewing (MI) Skills TrainingDescription: MI is a skill-based approach and as with any skill, requires practice to master. These sessions take the background of the learner into consideration when learning the skill or strategy.Duration: 2-3 hours and can be modified/combined to meet the needs of the group.
