On contract, worked for one year to build basics of a Resource Development operation within the Communications area of the Robina Institute for Criminal Law and Criminal Justice. Working around lack of access to the U donor database, due to job classification, I found alternative funding sources, using affinity searches and with savvy creativity to find donors hiding in plain sight. A routine sequence of weekly mailings was established to begin to build donor pipeline from cold-call contacts. I provided researched information on the structure of a Development office, with defined roles assigned specific tasks to serve to whole operation and contribute to the organization mission. I provided education on multiple revenue streams typically found in a 'best practice' Development operation, and provided strategic leadership to establish direction to the best areas to start with. As an organization in transition, I contributed to executive level meetings on the strategies used to create bridge management structures to take the organization through and beyond the transition.

Working on contract, I am writing a series of articles for B2B journals, supporting a new product launch.

Working with Prospect Park and East River Road Improvement Association staff and key committee leadership, I wrote content conveying community goals, and the means to meet these goals, for a grant submitted to the City of Minneapolis, renewable for the 3-year period. The grant was awarded, funded fully at $64,000 annually, renewable.

Researched and reported on recommended funders for projects to serve homeless students enrolled at HSRA. Wrote grants selected for submission; continued research on grant makers, advised on social media fundraising to support successful project, reviewed and recommended donor data-base product, advised on key points to bring out to donors to show impact of program. Advised Board appointed Development Committee on Capital Campaign strategy and process, launching effort to raise $1,000,000.--campaign in progress through 2014.
