A seasoned MACRO social worker, with over 30 years experience as a public servant, I am a human services executive with experience in variety of family-serving systems including family engagement, youth development, social services, and education. I find joy in collaboration, working in close partnership with federal/state/ and local government agency officials, political and community leaders, school administrators, leaders in the faith community, foundation and private non-profit directors, and business leaders. My work is focused on aligning systems and community resources, working together toward the goal of helping all families to raise healthy and safe children, prepared for career, and life. Some of the programs I have helped establish to support children and families in Harford County, and in Maryland include PTECH; National Math Science Initiative; the Judy Center; JROTC; United Way's Family Stability program; Parent Cafe Be Strong Families; Community Schools; and the Parent Academy to name a few.It has been my honor to serve on a variety of Boards and Work Groups, including Maryland Children's Cabinet Ready by 21 Work Group; Harford County Early Childhood Advisory Council (Co-Chair); Harford County United Way Community Partnership Board; Northeastern Maryland Technology Council - STEM Education; Chamber of Commerce Education Committee (Co-Chair); the Local Management Board for Children and Youth (Chair); and the Workforce Network Youth Council.
