Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, I have opened my private practice: Wellness Personified, on Mercer Island, WA, specializing in the medical care of children with special needs such as ADHD, Autism spectrum and Learning Disabilities. The modalities of Naturopathic medicine are an excellent fit for children with these challenges, offering the opportunity for improved focus, health and learning via botanical medicine, physical medicine, dietary therapies, as well as consultation with OT, PT, ST and school Special Education professionals. Prior to my studies in Naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University, I held increasingly responsible Human Resources Management positions with ARCO (Pennsylvania, London and Houston), with PepsiCo (Texas), and with Starbucks (Texas and Georgia). Having paused my career to care for children and a subsequent move to Seattle, I jumped back into the fray with a position as Executive Recruiter with Strategic Resources, with a specialty in HR recruitment, but soon realized that it was time to honor my lifelong dream to study medicine, and so began post-baccaleureate studies for entrance to medical school. I found myself drawn to natural medicine, and was delighted to find (with the utmost serendipity) Bastyr University - the North American leader in naturopathic medical training - in my veritable backyard here in Seattle.
