Since bailing on my Ph.D. in English and a life grading papers, I have been designing technical product documentation and training in high tech, focusing on Agile documentation since 2008. I work to build collaborative authoring environments that free teams to write and diagram information as easily as they code. I am experienced in UX writing, building API documentation, internationalizing content, and implementing web-based content management. I love supporting distributed teams and working remotely. I have conducted numerous major content migrations between documentation systems, worked on diverse knowledge management problems, and implemented wiki- and web-based Help and online learning. My strongest drive is advocating for users in UX writing that attracts and serves my customers: it must be concise, visual, easy to skim, empathetic, and helpful. I specialize in Agile software documentation, DocOps, content strategy, single-sourcing, process automation, and information system design; recent authoring tools include Author-it, FrameMaker, Doc-To-Help, RoboHelp, Sandcastle (XML), Drupal, G Suite (Google Docs), SharePoint, and Confluence. I've implemented Salesforce for a nonprofit, and I am building on-demand training in a WordPress LMS.Blog: www.cleverhamster.com
