Mary Croly has extensive experience in the trusts and estates field in drafting estate plans for high net worth clients and handling all types of estate administration. She started her career with KPMG as a tax consultant at KPMG's corporate headquarters in New York City. Her area of expertise is formulating estate plans for individuals and their families and assisting them in transferring wealth to the next generation. She also consults with clients on the current tax issues and estate tax consequences so that each client is protected with the estate tax exemptions allowed by the federal and state laws at the time of his or her demise. She is a New York SuperLawyer in 2012-2015 and on the Women's New York Metro Lawyer list where her name appeared as one of the top lawyers in New York State in her field. She is actively involved in the New York City Bar Association, being a member of the Trusts, Estates and Surrogate's Court Committee as well as the Gift & Taxation Committee. In 2014 she was actively involved in the New York City Bar Association's report to the State of New York with regard to the change in the New York State Estate Tax exemptions. She is a co-founder of PELP (Planning and Estates Law Project) at the City Bar Justice Center which provides indigent clients with estate and trust assistance. Ms. Croly was recently honored for her work on PELP at the City Bar Association's annual Gala event. Ms. Croly is a speaker and lecturer at Kensington Vanguard where she lectures on estate sales of real estate. She is on the advisory board at Memorial Sloan Kettering and a frequent guest lecturer for The Salvation Army and the New York County Lawyer's Association.
